Full doors (also called “steel doors” or “full steel doors”) refer to the solid 1-piece doors that came outfitted on 1987-95 Wrangler YJ models with a hard top. The were painted to match the color of the body tub and included a manual cranked glass window with a forward vent-wing window. All YJ models of all years (1987-95) produced could use the doors interchangeably, the only differences being the paint/detail scheme on the outside and the interior appearance on the inside. Depending on which trim level package the Wrangler came with determined how plush the interior of the door was. Base line models often had bare steel or a simple carpet covering or padding, while the higher-end models such as the Laredo had a padded/carpeted panel with a storage bin built in. The mirrors, handles, cranks, and locks were all the same across all doors.
